WHO ARE WE

VRCLC (Virtual Resource Centre for Language Computing) is the dedicated research and project lab of IIITM-K(Currently Digital University Kerala), established to promote and strengthen local languages through the application of Information Technology. The VRCLC web portal serves as a comprehensive repository of research outputs, ongoing projects, software tools, and standards related to language computing, with a specific focus on enabling localization in computing environments.

The Centre primarily focuses on the Malayalam language, aiming to overcome linguistic barriers in digital interactions and enhance accessibility for the general public. By supporting localization and language computing, VRCLC plays a critical role in enabling inclusive participation in various e-Governance initiatives and bridging the digital divide for Malayalam-speaking communities.
